Master Clothing Sizes Across Every Brand

Clothing sizes are far from universal. A size Medium at Nike can feel completely different from a Medium at Zara, and a US size 8 doesn't translate directly to a UK 8 or EU 38. These inconsistencies exist because there's no global sizing standard — each brand develops its own fit models, target demographics, and measurement specifications.

The problem is compounded by vanity sizing, where brands deliberately label garments with smaller size numbers to make customers feel better about their purchases. Research shows that the average American women's size 8 today is equivalent to what was a size 14 in the 1970s. This drift makes cross-brand shopping increasingly confusing.

International sizing adds another layer of complexity. European brands use centimetre-based measurements (36, 38, 40), while UK and Australian sizes use their own even-number systems that look similar but differ by 2-4 sizes from US equivalents. Japanese and Korean brands often run one to two sizes smaller than Western labels, catching many shoppers off guard.

That's why we built SizeMatch — to take the guesswork out of finding your size in any brand. Our converter tool and size charts are based on real garment measurement data from 10 major brands, helping thousands of shoppers worldwide avoid expensive returns and find clothes that actually fit.
