Body Measurement Guide

Accurate measurements are the key to finding clothes that fit perfectly

Before You Start

  • • Use a flexible fabric tape measure (not a rigid metal one)
  • • Wear lightweight, form-fitting clothing or measure over underwear
  • • Stand naturally — don't hold your breath or tense up
  • • Take each measurement twice and use the average for accuracy
  • • Ask someone to help with hard-to-reach measurements

Chest / Bust

Men & Women
  1. 1Stand upright with arms relaxed at your sides.
  2. 2Wrap a flexible tape measure around the fullest part of your chest.
  3. 3For men, measure across the nipple line and under the armpits.
  4. 4For women, wear a non-padded bra and measure across the fullest part of the bust.
  5. 5Keep the tape snug but not tight, and parallel to the ground.
  6. 6Read the measurement at the point where the tape overlaps.
💡 Tip: Take a deep breath and then exhale normally before measuring for the most accurate fit.

Waist

Men & Women
  1. 1Stand straight with your feet together.
  2. 2Find your natural waistline — the narrowest part of your torso.
  3. 3This is typically above the hip bones and below the ribcage.
  4. 4Wrap the tape measure around your waist at this point.
  5. 5Keep the tape snug (you should be able to slide a finger under it).
  6. 6Don't suck in your stomach; stand naturally.
💡 Tip: Bend to one side to find your natural waist crease — that's where to measure.

Hips

Women
  1. 1Stand with your feet together.
  2. 2Find the widest part of your hips and buttocks.
  3. 3Wrap the tape measure around this point.
  4. 4Keep the tape parallel to the ground.
  5. 5Make sure it's snug but not compressing.
💡 Tip: Stand in front of a mirror to ensure the tape is level all the way around.

Inseam

Men & Women
  1. 1Stand straight with shoes off.
  2. 2Place the tape at the crotch seam (where the inner leg seams meet).
  3. 3Measure straight down to the bottom of the ankle bone.
  4. 4For pants length preference, measure to where you want the hem to fall.
  5. 5It helps to have someone assist with this measurement.
💡 Tip: You can also measure a pair of well-fitting pants — lay them flat and measure the inner leg seam.

Foot Length

Everyone
  1. 1Place a piece of paper on a hard floor against a wall.
  2. 2Stand on the paper with your heel touching the wall.
  3. 3Mark the longest point of your foot on the paper.
  4. 4Measure the distance from the wall to the mark.
  5. 5Measure both feet and use the larger measurement.
  6. 6Measure at the end of the day when feet are slightly swollen.
💡 Tip: Always measure while standing. Feet expand under body weight and after walking.
